Stephan Bar is a Belgian portrait artist who has pursued his passion for art since he was a child. When he was 12 years old, he drew his first portrait of his grandfather after he died. It was so good that his grandmother cried when she saw it. Stephan thought he had done something "wrong," and decided never to draw again.  ​ But then something changed: One day in the 1990s, he was mistaken about the room in which he took Yoga classes. He suddenly found himself in a class where everyone was drawing and it was then that he decided to enroll in art class and slowly but surely begin searching for his true passion. ​ However, only many years later did he decide to study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hasselt.
